Assemblies

Assemblies offer us an important time to come together as a community and reflect on important matters that impact our lives.

Through assemblies:

  • We celebrate the achievements of our pupils and promote their sense of self-esteem and wellbeing.
  • We explore and celebrate the rich variety of cultures and religions that make up our community, coming together to learn about key festivals such as Eid, Diwali, Guru Nanak’s Birthday, Chinese New Year, Hanukah, Saints Days, Christmas, Easter and Harvest Time.
  • We explore our core beliefs
  • We take part in national events like Remembrance, Children in Need, World Book Day, Science Week, Comic Relief and many more.
  • We explore important themes like Friendship, standing up to bullies, e-safety, road safety, keeping healthy, community and British Values.
  • We sing together and to share a time of quiet reflection and prayer often giving thank.
  • We share our learning and skills.

We invite parents and friends of the school to our celebration and festival assemblies. These are usually very well attended.

Our assemblies are bright, colourful and fun and sometimes we dress up!

Assemblies take place at 2.45pm.  These are an important part of our weekly routine and gve us the opportunity to gather together as a community.
