About Oriel

At Oriel, friendship and acceptance are at the heart of everything we do. Whilst our priority remains to equip your child with the skills and knowledge that they need to flourish in the 21st century, it is also our vision to nurture your child through their early years to ensure that they have positive, fulfilling and inclusive experiences whilst with us.

Oriel champions a culture of self-worth, purpose and engagement, pushing all students to be the very best versions of themselves. This is a true reflection of our school motto – ‘dream, believe, achieve’.

The Aspirations ‘No Limits’ curriculum ensures that children have access to the resources needed to experience learning in a modern way. Creativity is at our core here at Oriel, and our pupils are challenged every day to express their unique selves in creative ways.

Academically, our pupils thrive. In 2019, 75% of our Key Stage 2 students achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, compared to 65% nationally.

Staff are passionate about pupils’ development and strive to offer a supportive and encouraging environment. Our students end their learning journey with us armed with the confidence, resilience and determination needed for their future education, and life-long skills including problem-solving, teamwork and leadership.

Additionally, students are encouraged to take part in our array of extra-curricular activities. With after-school clubs ranging from choir to modern sword fighting, children are offered an abundance of extra opportunities and a chance to develop new hobbies and interests.

With our dedication to learning and commitment to pupils’ personal development, we aim to ensure that all pupils leave our school as well-rounded individuals with both the skills and values needed to succeed.
